Mother 2 - Paula Polestar

Vector request on /w/.  Never played the game, but the character and mushroom looked cute.  Dropbox link has 16:9 and 16:10 wallpaper versions, and a version with the pattern applied to the character alone.

Not much in terms of difficulty.  Lineart went fairly quickly, as well as the coloring.  I did have to mess with the patterns a little more.  I didn't even try going for copying the original pattern 100%, because it would make me pull my hair out in frustration, so the pattern is not the exact same.  However, I needed to figure out how to apply the pattern to the character.  I thought I could maybe just apply it to the background and lower the opacity of the character and it would show through the same, but it didn't work.  Instead, I made a new layer above all the coloring, copied the base colors of each section of the image, and applied the pattern at 20% opacity with a Screen filter.  It seemed to do the trick.  In total, it took about 6 hours, so not bad.
